Surface is the densification of my explorations of Japan for a limited period of 3 weeks. During this time I was able to gain insights about the very special relationship of the Japanese to the surface. At the same time as a westerner Surface provides my first impression to the eastern culture of Japan.

Surface ist die Verdichtung meiner Erforschung Japans in einem begrenzten Zeitraum von 3 Wochen. Während dieser Zeit konnte ich Einblicke über das spezielle Verhältnis der Japaner zur Oberfläche gewinnen. Zugleich stellt Surface meinen westlichen ersten Eindruck auf die östliche Kultur Japans dar.
